Many thanks to the Southport University Extension Society for arranging and hosting the excellent lecture on Saturday 11th February, 2017: “Money Matters” by Stuart Sime. Stuart’s lecture was informative, stimulating and also of great practical use! Stuart demonstrated a vast store of knowledge and experience, and without any doubt, I would certainly attend lectures he may, hopefully, deliver in the future.
The Quaker Meeting House is really a delightful, warm and welcoming venue, and I very much value the opportunity for informal discussion after the lectures – as well as the chance to meet people over a cup of tea and some delicious cakes!
Now I am looking forward to attending the next lecture on Saturday 4th March, 2017: “Medieval Technology in Church History” by Peter Firth.
